How to update to algod v2?

Noob question: How do you exactly update to using algod v2?

*Currently I see my node’s data has a mainnet-v1 folder.

Only BetaNet has been updated to V2 so far, and, to be clear here, the Algod V2 refers to only the native API capabilities. The folder you reference is where the ledger is kept and will not change when you upgrade to Algod V2.
