Is there any way to sign arbitrary messages and verify in Algorand using MyAlgo Wallet or Wallet Connect?

I need to validate a user by signing an arbitrary message.

There is some ARC in development for that.
Signing arbitrary messages is very dangerous from a user point of view, and we are developing safer ways to do so.
