Stake on boxes to governance

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if staking for boxes can be used for governance?

What do you mean by “staking for boxes”?

For each boxes created , the account MBR increases proportionally .

Example:
a boxes of 32KB needs about 13 Algos as MBR . This can be called ‘stake’.

So , in case I have an MBR of 4,000 Algo , can I use this amount ( or stake ) to participate in governance ?

You can participate in governance with any Algos, even those from the minimum balance requirement (MBR).

Since the boxes MBR comes from the application account, you would need to be able to send transactions from the application account, which requires special support from the smart contract (but this is possible).
