Teal file size increase

why are we increasing teal file size, please let’s not diverge from the principles we set forth in the beginning. i trust the devs but with and boxes i wonder why. isn’t going to affect performance and bloat

You will pay (with MBR) for box storage, just in the same way that you pay for creating a SC (storing bytecode on chain) or assets. It’s not increasing teal file sizes.

i’m primarily talking about teal sizes, boxes were just an add on

Look at the PR - it’s just allowing larger teal source files to be read in as a maximum into the local tools. Dryrun, etc. Nothing’s changed in terms of opcode size.
