BetaNet will be upgraded to version 2.3.0 on Tuesday 12/1 at 12:30pm EST.

If you have your node set to automatic updates, you don’t need to do anything. It will automatically update to the newer version whenever that becomes available.

If this is not the case, you can update the binary, but aren’t required to do so.

Highlights

  • TEAL return type check: this release addresses an inconsistency in the specification where operands pushing order is different from return values order. There are no changes in TEAL evaluation so that no protocol upgrade is required. Corresponding changes to the specification can be found here: algorandfoundation/specs@21adc34
  • Optimizations and improvements to fast catchup

This release does not contain a consensus protocol upgrade.

./update.sh -c beta -i -d <betanet-data-directory> -n
