Please be sure to keep your node up to date. We have upgraded the protocol a number of times over the recent months. Once a protocol upgrade takes effect (after there’s consensus to approve it), nodes that do not support that protocol will fail to participate; they will be stalled and may generate an excessive number of errors in your log files and/or telemetry.
At this time, there are many nodes that are not running the latest and are generating an excess of telemetry errors. For everyone’s sake, please update your node or turn it off.
Let us know if you have any questions around updating. If you’re not sure whether you’re running the latest build, you can always restart your node to be certain (goal node restart -d data).
