I am planning to add a function where a person will be prompted to put his or her name and retrieve all of their names (probably saved in global state for everyone to see).
what should I use to make it possible? Suggestions or recommendations are appreciated

For me the input you provided does not make much sense… If it is only to store data to the blockchain, feel free to use the note field and you do not need to learn to code in pyteal…
