Participation node bandwidth requirements

Hello, I am interested in running a participation node and took note of the 100Mbps suggested minimum. My impression is that participation node traffic is heavily skewed inbound since it is not acting as a source for transaction data to other nodes, is this correct? And so using an asymmetric link (say, 300 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up) might be OK?

Also, how is bandwidth utilization (both down and up stream) affected by stake size?

Thank you

Here is a snapshot of my Netdata dashboard showing bandwidth usage. Inbound is usually <5 Mbps, and Outbound is very low with occasional spikes.

The more stake you have, the more likely you are to propose blocks, but I don’t think that is going to have a dramatic effect on your bandwidth usage.
