I am curious if there is any blog / document explaining the usecases & rationale behind introducing the mathematical operations on byte slices in Teal 4? Has the algorand dev team compiled their design decisions on extending the opcodes?

They allow operations over up to 256-bit integers.
Such operations can be useful for example for AMM (automated market maker).
