no idea and many wonder the same thing. some guess that something to do with move to Italy (I assume that they are still moving there), but impossible to say.
Only good thing is that Algorand trading volume has increased recently so will absorb that impact better, but still sucks.
I’m thinking maybe they are selling in the market so some other entities can buy cheap at scale. But I agree, it seems there are enough buyers to absorb if market conditions don’t weaken. If my understanding of market flows is correct then if they slow down or stop selling, there is a good chance that the Algo price goes parabolic.
Hi, i think there was great step forward regarding the grants program…
Before the grants were closed and it was unreachable for me, and since there is open grants program the xgov, people has voted for my proposals and we are building new things. Before the only way to get some funds for project was to win the hackathon or to have close ties with decisionmaker. Now it is much more transparent.
We need the same thing also for the VC investments and if we will have the option to give algorand back some profits the algorand may be sustainable after 2030.
We need some clarification/update from Algorand technologies on why they are selling so aggressively. They are killing the momentum and price action at the time that Algorand has the chance to shine and move much higher in the market cap list.
of course that would be nice, but Algorand Technologies is private company, so there is not much we can do. I hope they will tell their plans just because they want to be nice. but unfortunately it is up to them.
I think this is a really great point. Over time, I think it’s very possible Algorand can grow to success with more global adoption, or to scaled institutional adoption.
@awesomecrypto Probably they need REAL money, and today Algorand has gained 18%.
As I remember, they have a policy to sell only when Algo price rises, i.e. passively.
Then, what is the burn rate? Why is it so high? They just sold 100M Algo. At this rate AT may not even get to 2025. And does anyone realize that all this money should come from the community? And there is a real negative impact (relative to other chains) that it has on the price action, momentum, market cap rank and overall sentiment?
