There is a schedule for reti upgrade?

I’m curious about the schedule for reti upgrade.

And
The current fee is 0.001 Algo, and the TPS seems to be about 40.

Can I understand that 0.04 Algo is distributed per block to the block proposer?

Materials will be available after John Woods’ talk at the Staking Conference in Bangkok on Thursday. I’ll post links here, once they’re live.

Thank you for your answer. I’ll be waiting for materials.

I have another question.
Do you have any plans to request CEX to support the Staking.
Many users still use CEX, and I think there will be a lot of new users if they find out that Algorand supports Staking.

Big & Juicy: Now That’s How You Cook Up a Stake
by John Woods, Algorand Foundation CTO

The Staking Summit 2024, Bangkok, Nov 8, 12:25 PM - 12:35 PM, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYPqTWTE6V8&t=9120s

The gist of the presentation:

  • Consensus incentivization (aka Staking rewards), Dec 204
  • P2P network, early 2025

Staking on Algorand network

  • Low HW req (8 vCPU, 16 GB, SSD, 100 Mbps)
  • Real time reward distribution
  • No slashing
  • No lockup
  • Terminal User Interface

To join, 1 Algo and 15 minutes are required

  • a new participation takes part in concensus after 320 rounds (approx. 15 minutes)

Why to join?

  • mature network
  • 50% of transaction fees + 10 Algo bonus paid on each block
  • bonus decreases after every 1 million bock by 1%
  • bonus paid (at least?) for 2 years by the Algorand Foundation
  • after that, only the 50% of fees
  • approx. 6.6% APR

How to particitape?

  • run a node (min 30K Algo required)
  • liquid staking (any Algo)
  • staking pools (any Algo)
  • delegated staking (min 30K Algo)

Launch in Dec 2024, see Staking Rewards are coming to Algorand

Is there a reason why only 50% of the fee is distributed?
Is it used for the AF’s operating funds?

50% is a starting point. AF does not currently receive any percentage of the fees. The remaining 50% could be used for protocol maintenance, ecosystem growth, etc. This is an important topic to be discussed with the community next year and beyond.
