Yes it will. The image will be updated to make mainnet the default.

do you get more reward if you go online than staying offline?
Not currently. Having an account with tokens makes you eligible for rewards.
i get it now but maybe further instructions will come out because if i will commit resources to operate a node, then i should earn more reward than those that will just keep their token in their android generated wallet and not run a node
